Book Presentation:

While revising “Für ein Kinderlachen” in 2025, I came upon the idea of making several texts available as a separate publication. The title translates to “Four Stories of Flowers and Children”. This book brings together two parables, a short story, and a fragment of a novel in a single booklet, illuminating different phases of my personal journey:
“The Child” begins directly with my coming-in, while “Flowers Along the Way” is very recent. All four texts are republished here as an independent collection and accompanied by extensive commentary. These reflections explore the significance of the texts for my life and my process of coming to terms with it: writing as a form of self-reflection, of inner ordering, and of engaging with the stigma and taboo surrounding my sexual orientation.
Where my first book looked more or less chronologically at my life story, this book shifts the focus to the texts themselves—their origins, their function, and their place within my personal development. In doing so, I also wish to draw attention to the great value that stories hold, especially for marginalized minorities. I hope that my writing may encourage others to put their own ideas down on paper.
Let us write more stories!
The book is currently available only in German. An English translation is planned, subject to time and capacity.
If possible, please buy directly from Lulu.com. Purchasing the book there directly supports the author. I also occasionally offer special deals on that platform. Bulk orders of around five copies or more may be eligible for a discount upon request—feel free to ask by email.
