“When I Chose Pedophilia” at The P-Word

Satire can be a powerful tool for alleviating the pain of injustice. It can be used to make something a laughing stock while at the same time hitting a nerve. It can expose the absurdity and hypocrisy of those who perpetrate the injustice. In the text “When I Chose Pedophilia”, an anonymous author at The P-Word writes wittily and pointedly about the absurdity of the idea that being a pedophile was a choice and not hardwired. The article is reminiscent of a satire published years ago: an interview with a toddler about why they decided to become homosexual.
