AfD state parliament member Vanessa Behrendt has long incited hatred against Wir sind auch Menschen (WSAM), doxed Consuela (mapblog.xyz) on multiple occasions, and has taken similar actions against queer people. After Mrs. Behrendt’s anonymity was initially lifted and charges were filed, the court has now, however, allowed only a portion of the charges to proceed. The public prosecutor’s office disagrees and has filed an appeal. WSAM writes: “In four out of seven cases, the criminal division of the Braunschweig Regional Court now finds that Behrendt may be guilty of defamation; furthermore, there is sufficient suspicion of a criminal offense involving the dangerous disclosure of personal data. However, the court did not find incitement to hatred in any of the cases.”
